The Story Behind the Show
Super Ghost started as SuperPod Saga, which was originally hosted by Aaron and Tommy. They went to school together in rural Iowa and shared a love of video games. After years of messaging each other about their favorite games and new releases, they just had to start a podcast. What started as a very vague concept for a podcast with very cheap microphones quickly evolved into a weekly chatfest where Aaron and Tommy talked about card games, funny baseball player names, talked about childhood friends, and of course, discussed every video game topic under the sun.
Sadly, Tommy had to step away from SuperPod Saga for personal reasons.
After going solo for a while, Aaron invited Gerry to become the new co-host of the show. Gerry was a frequent guest who first appeared on SuperPod Saga Episode 47 to discuss the entire Legend of Zelda series. Together, they bring a positive, yet chaotic energy to the show. Shortly after Gerry joined SuperPod Saga, he and Aaron started a retro-focused podcast called Retro Rehab, which has since become defunct and is slowly being folded into SuperPod Saga, borrowing quite a few elements and fusing the two into one big super show.
Since 2021, Gerry had been hosting his own podcast called Super Ghost Radio alongside his co-hosts Beth and Greg.
After seeing a lot of similarities between SuperPod Saga and Super Ghost Radio, Aaron and Gerry decided to once again merge shows - combining SuperPod Saga with Super Ghost Radio to create the ultimate collaboration: Super Ghost. Just like Perfect Cell, we have reached our final and strongest form. Together, Aaron, Gerry, Beth, and the enigma, Greg, form a comedy/gaming podcast powerhouse.
